Since my first tentative steps into the world of jumpsuits, I’ve been getting into wearing them in a big way. Over the past couple of years, I’ve found more and more excellent jumpsuits on offer in plus sizes and they’re so easy to throw on, feel comfortable in, and look great. When the lovely people at Pink Clove asked if I’d like to pick some pieces to style from their latest range, I initially thought I’d go for one of their gorgeous plus size dresses as I always love Pink Clove prints. However it turned out that my eye was instantly drawn to two very different but equally stunning summer jumpsuits, so I thought I’d chat about how I’d go about styling jumpsuits for summer in today’s post.
The first jumpsuit I chose was this lovely rich navy blue number with cropped legs and flutter sleeves [gifted] which is sadly now sold out, but I have put some alternatives in my picks below. This kind of smart and sleek jumpsuit lends itself to being dressed up for a night out, especially in the warmer months; it’s the perfect versatile foundation to add all manner of accessories to and build any kind of look you’d like.
I decided to go for gold shoes and accessories, and because I wore heels I knew I’d need to use my stick – so I coordinated the print with a leopard print scarf in my hair. The green bag added a little splash of colour and I love how the navy, leopard and green all work together.
FIT NOTES: This jumpsuit is very true to size, if a little generous. I usually size up in jumpsuits to allow for the length of my body, but this fits really well without having to size up. The flutter sleeves are super roomy and I love how they fall on the upper arms. The legs are wide and comfortable, plus they cut off in a great place above my ankle.

The second jumpsuit [gifted], from Brave Soul [affiliate link] via Pink Clove, is absolutely ideal for warm summer daytime wear. The button up detail at the front is super cute, and the fact that it’s sleeveless means I’m ready for the heatwave! I kept the styling simple, as I find that jumpsuits worn as daywear makes much more of a statement than separates. So I wore a pair of comfy flatform sandals (past season ASOS), a belt, and matched the divine tropical print to my all time favourite tropical earrings from Black Heart Creatives.
FIT NOTES: This jumpsuit is also very true to size, the body is slightly shorter than the navy one, but nevertheless it is still comfortable. It has an elasticated waist, which is where the buttons up the front start; these buttons are functional and mercifully do not gape! The legs are wide and long, they reach my feet with ease which isn’t something that usually happens for me unless I get something that is specifically cut as ‘tall’ or ‘long’.
Looking at both jumpsuits, I think there is room to swap the styling tricks and dress the tropical one up for nighttime and the navy one down for a casual day look too. This is the huge bonus of jumpsuits, your entire outfit is sorted with one piece of clothing, and then the way you choose to accessorise is what makes it.
My main tip for how to style jumpsuits this summer is to be as wild as you like with how you dress them up or down, they can definitely take it!
