It’s that time of year again: the invites are stacking up and if you’re anything like me you’ll be looking for that one perfect dress to get you through the party season this year. Well maybe two dresses should do it… or perhaps three…? However many dresses you’re after to see you right for christmas and New Year, and whatever your budget happens to be, check out this mega post of the absolute cream of the plus size crop that is offer this year for some serious style inspiration.
I’m fairly certain that this isn’t the first party dress post you’ll have seen this December, and I can pretty much guarantee that it won’t be the last! Personally, I love seeing everyone else’s picks because their individual style always shines through in the pieces they choose. Here I’ve tried to inject a bit of colour into the proceedings; and whilst I’ve made sure there’s a healthy dose of the traditional glitz and glam, I also wanted to pop in some choices that aren’t your usual christmas party items.

An example of that ‘non-christmassy but festive’ look would be the Manon Baptiste jacquard dress [affiliate link] which is something that has been on my radar since the beginning of Autumn and would look as perfect at a Christmas party as it would in a more casual setting. Another is the M&S Collection gold velvet number [affiliate link] which has been sitting on my wishlist for weeks!
I’ve snuck some lovely, bright jewel tones in with the metallics, velvet and sequins too. Overall, I now want every single thing on this wishlist, that’s always the danger of posts like this as I’ve mentally spent about £300 and it won’t be long until my wallet takes a hit. My absolute favourite here though has to be the very first one, the gold M&S Collection shift dress [affiliate link] with the gorgeous metallic pattern and lovely big pussybow.
I do hope this plus size party dress mega post helps you find something wonderful to wear to your christmas parties and nights out this year. If you pick anything up from the post then let me know, I’d love to see! Enjoy the party season my precious babes, the end of this rotten ol’ year is in sight so I hope you all have the best time for what’s left of it.
