I get so much joy from planning outfit posts and looking through pinterest for style inspiration. As much as I enjoy those carefully crafted type of outfits, one of my favourite instagram hashtags is #whatfatgirlsactuallywear and I adore seeing everyone’s candid daily looks. That got me thinking; why not just pick a day and take some photos of what I’m wearing to post about as it’ll be a much more accurate representation of my everyday style… and so that’s what I did.

Firstly, please forgive my medicated stare, I has having a bad fibro day but needed to leave the house so took strong painkillers. I’m bog eyed here in a way no amount of concealer can deal with, so I didn’t even try and cover it up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On to the outfit, the coat is a new favourite of mine from New Look Curves [affiliate link]. It’s somewhere between a wool winter coat and a light duster jacket. The simple check print is a classic and I love the length. It’s definitely warm enough to take me all through autumn and I am so overjoyed that the sleeves are long enough for my arms as that happens so rarely.
It’s true to size, if a little generous, I got it in a UK20. I would definitely recommend having a look at New Look Curves outerwear this season, they have some really nice pieces, and the fit and quality is spot on. For the price point, I think they’re doing good things right now.
The jeans are from ASOS Curve [affiliate link] and although they are cuffed here (I always cuff my jeans out of habit) they are definitely long enough when worn normally. These are a good size too and I’m wearing a UK20 here.
The navy & white shirt is from AX Paris Curve [affiliate link], and as with all their items sizing up is definitely required, I’m wearing a UK22 here. It comes with a kinda pointless belt, which I removed, but it can be used to give a more defined shape if that’s what you’re after. I’m absolutely loving AX Paris Curve’s prints, I reviewed another one of their shirts last month and there are a good couple of others I have my eye on just now.
But mostly I want to talk about the pins. I recently found the amazing Thread Famous, who make some of the best patches and enamel pins I’ve ever seen. I mean, check out this one of Louis Theroux which has just gone up and you’ll see what I’m talking about. The Tempest quote and the Morticia & Gomez pin are both from Thread Famous, and the hand is from Life Club who are another awesome pin and patch store. Go check them out too!
I’ve really enjoyed sharing my casual everyday outfit with you. I’ll still be bringing you more put together looks here but it feels so nice to just take some pictures on the fly like this.
