Whilst I’m one of the first to appreciate the lovely, delicacy of tiny gold pendants and understated jewellery… I just can’t help myself around my first love: acrylic, laser cut necklaces. The brighter and the bigger, the better as far as I’m concerned. Worn under collars, over turtle necks or framed by a low neckline: big, perspex necklaces are where it’s at for me. Today I’d love to share some of my favourite laser cut necklaces from some of my absolute favourite independent brands, I hope you find something you like!
I love this Aztec inspired, geometric lion necklace by Little Moose. It’s a colourful ray of sunshine, perfect for the coming season. Made from laser cut acrylic and available on a short 19″ or extra long 30″ chain, this cute little guy is a great compliment to your spring wardrobe.
Tassels are EVERYWHERE right now, and I love them to pieces. This necklace by Sour Cherry, at £8, is such a fantastic bargain. The colourway includes both your on trend pink / mint pastels and your nautical navy / white. The necklace comes on an 18″ gold plated chain, with an additional 5″ extension for a variety of collars and necklines. This is perfect to add some movement and texture to any outfit.
Oh, Black Heart Creatives, how do I love thee…. one of my faves is killing it with their most recent collection, ‘Pastel Riot’, and this necklace is from that line. This is laser cut, hand etched/inked acrylic and comes on either a gold plated or silver chain of 44cm as standard. However if you’d like a different length you can pop a message to them in at the checkout and they’ll happily oblige. The Pinkie Swear necklace is a collaboration with the illustrator, Phie Hackett (do check out her work, it’s so lovely), this piece gives all the girl gang pastel babe vibes and it’ll be a strong addition to all your best spring looks.
I’ll forever be grateful to Sugar & Vice for keeping me in RuPaul’s Drag Race related jewellery, however this Dolls Eye Charm necklace is from a newer line and is giving me creepy, glittery goodness for spring! Again, made from laser cut acrylic and comes on an 18″ gold or silver plated chain. These six little sparkly doll eyes add a touch of strange (or cute?) to any occasion.
The glittery blue eye of Elizabeth Taylor sparkles and shimmers out from the gold mirrored pyramid in this statement pendant from Lou Taylor. Like all Lou’s pieces, it’s both over the top and understated at the same time. This necklace is from the Pyramid Scheme collection, all of which is amazing tbh. It comes on a 40cm goldtone chain, and I’m also seriously lusting after these matching earrings too. I can see this necklace being worn with both high and low necklines, as spring moves into summer.
