Last week an exciting new online magazine, She Might Be, launched in the UK. Why is this one exciting, you might ask? Well, it’s the first of it’s kind in that it focuses on plus size fashion, beauty and lifestyle with a true body positive focus rather than the watered down version of “bopo” we have been in the clutches of for the last year or so. It’s also written exclusively by plus size writers, and has already gained a community feel that other magazines really struggle to achieve.
The success in the first few days has been incredible, which is so encouraging as it’s nice to have such clear proof that there is an audience which is hungry to cut through the bullshit and take their information from a more honest source. She Might Be has been covering fashion and beauty as well as topics that impact us as plus size people, such as fat shaming and body confidence, with smart writing and insight that can only come from living life in a plus size body.
Launch day was a resounding success, it’s such a positive move for the plus size community and I am so excited to be able to announce that I am She Might Be’s newest contributor. I’ll be writing regularly about a wide range of topics but the clothing hacks, budget realness and honest opinion you know and love will be a main feature I promise! I’m so happy to be a part of this absolute powerhouse of a team and can’t wait to share with you my first post and beyond.
To get you started on your She Might Be journey, here are some of my favourite posts so far:

I really hope you’ll join us on this adventure: this feels to me like a big bold step towards a new era of plus size fashion, beauty and lifestyle media reporting and representation.
